It worked! But the first Orinoco card I tried didn't, and another card with the FCC ID IMRWLPCE24H chipset didn't work either! Odd. But my current one does work. I'm delighted with it.

Finally you got it working or not ?
(I am trying to do the same: Bought a Series 7, and now I am trying to get a ROM upgrade and a compatible WiFi card).
I just want to make sure if the Orinocco card works (FCC ID IMRWLPCE24H).
Until now I havent found the ROM Upgrade in eBay...

The kind gentleman who sold me the Orinoco has sent me two more, different kinds but both Orinoco Gold; and I've returned that one.

I'm now beginning to wonder if the issue is with my WiFi WAP (a Netgear WG602)

Hi Gareth. Don't know if it helps but the photo there of your third-time-lucky Orinoco Silver card is exactly the same as the one I have. I checked but no FDDID is given on mine. But maybe the fact it says "Lucent Technologies" on the aerial cover confirms all is ok! Mine works fine, It also has an external aerial socket. I'm pretty sure any "g" standard wireless card would be 32-bit and "CardBus" and so no use to Psion owners. :)
