Bonkers Metal!

Saturday, August 13th, 2005

A couple of months ago I stumbled across the website of a Manowar-wannabe band Teräsbetoni.

To compare them to Manowar is unfair, to be honest. Manowar are four warriors of Real Metal™, the true kings of the Kingdom of Steel. Teräsbetoni (I can’t even remember their name let alone pronounce it!) on the other […]

Steve Lawson gig tonight

Friday, August 12th, 2005

Tonight my brother Eddie and I will see solo bassist (and current lodger) Steve Lawson in concert (Bass: the Final Frontier) at C Central (Venue 54) on North Bridge at 11:15 pm. My future

Tuesday, August 9th, 2005

Tomorrow I have a meeting with the bishop to discuss my future. I’m on a limited, three year appointment, and in April 2006 the money dries up and I’ll once again be without a post.
I meet with Bishop Brian at 10:00 am to discuss what I’ll do next. I’m in two minds as […]

Two quotations

Monday, August 8th, 2005

I found these quotations in my copy of OneNote 2003:
“Sometimes a light breaks into our darkness, and it is as though a voice were saying:
‘You are accepted.
You are accepted, accepted by that which is greater than you, and the name of which you do not know.
Do not ask for the name now; perhaps you will […]
