Browser updates
Time to upgrade again, folks.
Mozilla Firefox is now at version 1.0.7 — the latest version being a security update.
And Opera is now at version 8.5 — but this time the full application is now free. And it’s a great application; see my review of version 8.
If only someone would either update Opera for EPOC beyond 5.14, or port Firefox to EPOC R5. If I could, I would.

Hi Gareth. Opera is now complete and free? Any catches?

Seemingly not. From their website:
“Why we’re going free
Opera has removed the banners, found within our browser, and the licensing fee. Opera’s growth, due to tremendous worldwide customer support, has made today’s milestone an achievable goal. Premium support is available.”
So, if you want support you can still pay US$29 … otherwise it’s free. I’m now using it almost as often as Firefox.
