I certainly found typing up notes in classes was great while I was a student, especially group work as I could then run off copies at the end of the meeting for the other students.</description>

					<description>Ah but being a student  the majority of digital files are useful in the long term as i can come back and use them for revising. Or send them to friends who were away that day. So word documents can be very useful.</description>

					<description>Well, fair enough.  But given that I've not used most of these pieces of papers since I printed them out I'm not sure I actually needed to keep them even in digital format either!

How much of our lives is spent typing up stuff that you'll never read again and which many people will never even read for the first time, I wonder.</description>
