Happy Christmas

May the Father,
who has loved the eternal Son
from before the foundation of the world,
shed that love upon you his children.
May Christ,
who by his incarnation gathered into one
things earthly and heavenly,
fill you with joy and peace.
May the Holy Spirit,
by whose overshadowing Mary became the Godbearer,
give you grace to carry the good news of Jesus Christ.
And the blessing of God almighty,
the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit,
be upon you and remain with you always.

Dear ‘anon’,
Thank you for your concern. However, I wrote that post at around 21:00 and edited the timestamp to force my blogging software to publish it at 00:00. I didn’t want to wish anyone a happy Christmas prematurely!
And indeed, I was conducting midnight mass in Leven from 11:30 - 00:30. We had around 25 there and it was a beautiful and gentle service.

Dodgy business? WordPress is a Content Management System (CMS), that’s one of the core features of a CMS: the ability to manage when content is published. It’s not dodgy at all.
However, signing a post “anon” seems to me to be far more underhand and potentially deceiving than wanting to wish people a happy Christmas on the stroke of midnight on Christmas Eve/Christmas Day.
