New podcast from Custom PC

Wednesday, February 28th, 2007

I got this e-mail today, which I thought might interest some readers:
The first Custom PC Podcast is launched this week, which is a regular, downloadable audio show featuring the same blend of hardware, strong opinion and humour that the magazine is famous for.
In each episode, the team will take an inside look at the […]

I’m going to be on the radio today

Wednesday, February 28th, 2007

This morning I was interviewed over the telephone by Michael Cleere of Premier Christian Radio for a slot that will be broadcast today at 15:15.
You can listen online to my ramblings about Random Acts of Kindness, Join Me, life as a Christian within a university setting and my love of metal!

My toast to the weekend

Monday, February 26th, 2007

I enjoyed a quiet and blog-free weekend these last few days, largely because I also experienced a largely internet-free weekend (see previous posts about broadband connection woes for details).

Erect meeting posts in city centres. The posts would be arranged in a wide circle and would be called ‘One o’clock’, ‘Two o’clock’, and so on. People […]

An evening of verbs, mostly

Monday, February 19th, 2007

A quiet yet productive evening:

Listening to the amazingly-wonderful Black Hawk Down soundtrack. Regardless of what you might think of the film the soundtrack is other-worldly, fusing African and Eastern melodies and rhythms with Western. Terrific!
Replying to e-mails. Catching up with e-mails that I received almost a month ago.
Inviting various friends and family to visit/stay/eat.
Watching […]

Look-a-like, pt. 4

Monday, February 19th, 2007

Is it just me or does this person in the photo above look spookily like former England footballer Glenn Hoddle?
When I was little and Scotland had a football team that got into World Cups for some reason (probably because my dad was English) I had a pair of England football strip pyjamas. Glenn Hoddle […]
